Using the library from home with the Libby app

16/03/2020 by Thirsk Community 1 Comment

Using the library from home with the Libby app
Libby, by OverDrive – summary

If the library is closed, or even when it’s open, you can borrow ebooks and audiobooks to read on your phone or tablet using the Libby app by OverDrive 24 hours per day. It’s free and easy to get started for new users: Learn more.

To access Libby, you’ll need your library card number (the whole thing including the letters and zeroes, with no spaces) and PIN. If you don’t know your PIN, you can ask the volunteers to set it for you when you come into the library, or you can reset it online here.

If you are reading on an older device or a Fire tablet, want to view our selection of streaming videos, or require the use of a screen reader, you can enjoy our digital collection using the classic OverDrive app. If using a computer, you may also choose to discover titles using our library catalogue or our digital collection website.
