What is it about?
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is the first book in a 7 book (and one play) series. Harry is always teased at school for his messy hair and round glasses that have been Sellotaped together from all the times Dudley has punched Harry in the face. He was only one when he was deposited onto the Dursleys’ doorstep and lives there in a completely normal life until he is 10. Then the letters start to come…

Rating
*****

I rated this book 5 stars because it is a wonderful book with the perfect amount of tension, excitement and detailed descriptions. JK Rowling has put so much expression into her writing and it makes you dream about being at Hogwarts yourself.
